PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION

Regular F-1 students will receive their I-20 Form through the EKU English Language Instruction Program (EELI) at Eastern Kentucky University . The I-20 may only be used for English language study. (Expedited delivery of an I-20 is available for a $75.00 fee.)

EELI graduates will be admitted to EKU without a TOEFL score, provided all other admission requirements are met.

A completed Declaration of Finances Certificate is required to qualify for the I-20 Form. This certificate is necessary to verify that $2,975. is available for each 7-week session you plan to study at EELI.

To enroll, send the following:

1. Application -*Make certain to answer questions with all information exactly the same as your passport: Spelling of your first and last name, month/day/year of birth, country of birth, and country of citizenship.

2. $100.00 application fee (not refundable) - plus $100 housing deposit if staying on campus, payable to Eastern Kentucky University by check or money order

3. Declaration of Finances Certificate

4. Two passport sized photographs

5. Summary of education or resume

If you have been admitted to a university, send a copy of your admission letter or a letter verifying your status at another language school.


Upon receipt of the required documents, EELI will issue the student an I-20. The $100.00 application fee is not refundable should the student decide not to attend or be unable to attend. The balance of the tuition, textbook and insurance fees is to be paid at orientation during the first week of classes. These fees are subject to change without advance notice.

When you receive your I-20, you will be notified of orientation dates, residence hall openings, and procedures regarding health insurance. You will also receive instructions for submitting payment of fees. You are required to have health insurance and must either show proof of insurance or purchase insurance available to students of EKU. A food plan is available and information on food service will be included with the I-20.
